Activities: We really enjoyed the free activities such as ceramic making and coffee art. The breakfast set up at Portico is so beautiful, the beautiful walnut wall panels framing the freshest green plants outside, my eye swoons every time I walk in there. I have to recommend Brasa, what a memorable steak dinner we had there! The vibe is perfect. Kids club: Our girls loved the kids club so much, they asked to go all the time and asked to be there all day (music to the ears!) My hubby and I got to spend so much time by ourselves because of the amazing kids club activities, it’s the most relaxed vacation with kids ever! Our girls loved the lovely staff members at the kids club, thank you Emma, Anni and everyone at the kids club, you are awesome! Dining: We loved all the restaurants on the island, perfect food and ambiance.
Antonio- you are the busiest man and we are grateful that you made time to chat with us, amazing amazing job running this resort so well! All staff members at Veli bar, thank you for the lovely drinks, and beautiful smile all the time.
I have to say the diligence of your team in engaging with guests is super impressive. Julio- The head of food and beverage, you are so friendly and we enjoyed so many conversations with you at breakfasts and dinners, thank you for being so genuine and friendly. Thank you for taking such good care of our family, and you are the reason that we will be back at Patina. Ruslan-Our essentialist, who is always so graceful and efficient! My girls (8 and 6) loved him so much, now that we have been back in Hong Kong for 3 weeks, they still talk about how much they miss Ruslan. I truly enjoyed every person we had the pleasure to meet on the island. Senior management is always on the ground and happy to have conversations with us. From the moment we were greeted at the jetty by a big team, to the send off by another big team, we were in tears on our boat ride to Ritz. People: On top of the hardware, the people really made us feel so special, and I have to say although Ritz Carlton is a beautiful property and everyone is perfectly friendly, people at Patina really made us feel so close to them. I’d recommend beach villas facing the ocean rather than Lagoon side, easy for going snorkeling and more private, people rarely walk past your beach. Our 5th hotel in the Maldives, I really find it hard to find any fault with this island! We loved cycling everywhere, it gave me a sense of being one of the habitat of the island, it was just too short and I wish I could spend many more days there. Everything is beautiful, the villa can be open completely and you feel like you have a giant shed on the beach.
Rooms: We stayed at a beach villa, I loved our beach villa so much. The use of natural materials and the color tone, screaming sophisticated low key luxury to us. I loved every minute of it! The island is so beautiful, loved everything about the design. We stayed at Patina for four nights followed by 4 more nights at Ritz Carlton.
